This 20-minute beef & broccoli recipe is going to be your new best friend

We've all been there. It's Friday night and you get back late from some after-school activity. Everyone's starving and nobody wants to spend hours in the kitchen cooking dinner.

But with today's recipe you can save yourself some serious money and have dinner ready as fast (or maybe faster) than you could order and drive to the restaurant.

It's a 20-minute version of the Chinese favorite: Beef & Broccoli. And it's the perfect solution to your hectic Friday night.

Ingredients

2 tablespoons oil ( divided )

1 pound beef, flank steak ( or chuck roast, thinly sliced across the grain )

3 cups broccoli

2 clove(s) garlic ( minced )

1 cup beef broth ( low sodium )

1/4 cup low sodium soy sauce

1 teaspoon brown sugar

1/2 teaspoon sesame oil ( )

1 teaspoon cornstarch

1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes

1/8 teaspoon pepper

to taste sesame seeds ( for garnish, oprional )
